Yoga is a science of human experience that through practice and self-inquiry, leads to an inner knowing or consciousness within. The word yoga, from the Sanskrit word yuj, means to yoke or join together, and is interpreted as “union.” The practice of yoga is an ancient practice of coming into union with the divine.
Mass is one of the names for Holy Communion, Holy Eucharist, and the Lord’s Supper. It is the sacred meal shared in the presence and remembrance of Jesus Christ to mystically become one with him.
Integrating yoga’s breath work, body movements and meditation into the sacred meal liturgy offers a uniquely participatory experience of mystical union with God in our bodies and our souls, personally and collectively.
