St. Andrew’s Spiritual Reading Book will be reading and discussing He Leadeth Me, by Walter J. Ciszek with Daniel L. Flaherty. In this inspiring book the author takes us on the spiritual odyssey he encountered with unflagging faith when he was arrested by the KGB and put into a Siberian prison for 15 years during and after World War II and then restricted to a Siberian town for another 7 years.

He tells of the courage he found in prayer - a courage that eased the loneliness, the pain, the frustration, the anguish, the fears, and the despair. For, as Ciszek recalls, a relationship with God gave him solace and an inner serenity upon which he was able to draw amid the “arrogance of evil” that surrounded him.
