Pack Seafarers' Holiday Boxes

Each year the chaplains at the Port of Houston distribute close to 50,000 holiday boxes to our brothers and sisters who work the cargo ships that come to Houston during the holidays. These shoe boxes, filled with small toiletries and personal items, are a wonderful gift for these workers who are so far from home and loved ones. To participate, sign up for one or more items listed on the bulletin board in the rear entry hall. We will box and wrap in the Parish Hall after the 10:30 AM service on Sunday, December 2. Check the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the rear entry hall and let us know what you can contribute. Or contact Project Chair Bob Decesare.

We need 50 (small or travel size preferred) of the following:

  • Band-aids

  • Kleenex

  • Toothbrushes

  • Pens and pencils

  • Texas souvenirs

  • Combs

  • Playing cards

  • Nail clippers

  • Calendars

  • Puzzles and games

  • Flashlights

  • Key chains

  • Socks

  • Hard candy

  • Disposable razors

  • Baseball caps

  • Sewing kits

  • Postcards
