Following the Maundy Thursday liturgy, when we commemorate Jesus’ last supper, the remaining consecrated bread and wine will be taken from the church and placed in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd where they will remain until the Liturgy for Good Friday at noon. In the hours between, you are invited to join in our all-night vigil, spending an hour or more in the presence of Christ, praying, meditating, reading, or simply sitting and keeping watch. The vigil is an opportunity to enter more deeply into the story of Holy Week, to prepare for the joy of Easter, and to respond personally to the question which Jesus Christ posed to his sleepy disciples during the very first Holy Week. Two people are needed for each time slot—you can sign up here.
